Telling the tale...

Albums and photobooks will always be the best way to preserve your memories.

Technology will change like the weather. Who still uses floppy disks? Zip drives?

Currently USB's are the norm, but who knows what will happen in 5, 10 or 20 years time.

Preserving your images in an album or book will ensure they are kept for years to come, and is a nice easy way to showcase them to family and friends. It's great to be sitting in the lounge with a coffee and just get the album out to relive your special day.

I have been lucky enough to be chosen to review a photobook for Saal Digital. I was able to design it to my own specification, using their simple to use software, and I focused on one wedding from 2017. The album will be used as a sample at upcoming wedding fayres & other events.

Delivery was speedy via DHL (within a few days from production), and the package arrived in great condition. Everything was wrapped well to avoid damage in transit.

I chose a matt finish as this is my favourite. Gloss, I find, shows too many imperfections in print so I stick to matt wherever possible.

The cover looks well printed. The bleed in the software is very accurate, as I also added my logo on the spine to see how good it was.

I wanted something of a premium quality to I opted for the thicker pages which I was very pleased with. They seem to add a touch of luxury to the finished article. I also wanted to try a different style of design. More of a uniformed approach. This was made very easy in the software itself, and looks fantastic in the flesh.

The colour was replicated well with no issues, also the black and white images which looked stunning.

I am looking forward to offering this type of book as an option in the future.

Many thanks to Becky & Johnny for letting me use images from their amazing wedding for this sample book.
